The right to membership, the application process and membership procedures.

How an application works

    Written application

    A written application for membership is submitted to the chair of the association.

    Assessment

    Mutual discussions, including company visits, are held against criteria set by the Board of Directors.

    Decision

    The application is decided within thirty days at most, and the result is communicated in writing.

    Registration

    An accepted member is entered in the register kept for that purpose.

Membership Rights and Procedures

All real and legal entities that have the capacity to act, adopt the aims and principles of the association and accept to work in this direction, operate in the sectors covered by the working areas of the Association and meet the conditions stipulated by the legislation, have the right to become a member of this association. However, foreign real entities are required to have the right of abode in Turkey in order to become a member. This condition does not apply to honorary membership.

The membership application to be made in writing to the chairmanship of the association shall be decided by the board of directors of the association in the form of acceptance or rejection of the request within maximum thirty days and the result shall be notified to the applicant in writing. The acceptance or decline of the application for membership shall be resolved upon following mutual correspondence including company visits, in accordance with the criteria to be determined in detail by the Board of Directors. The member whose application has been accepted shall be registered in the registry which is kept for this purpose.

The full members of the association are the founders of the association and those whose membership applications have been accepted by the Board of Directors. Those who have provided significant moral and material support to the Association may be accepted as honorary members by the Board of Directors.

In the event that the companies operating in the sector demand that one of their shareholders, managers or employees be admitted to the association on behalf of their companies, a decision to accept membership may be made upon the request of the company and the application of the relevant person. In the event that such members are notified that their business relationship in the relevant company has ended, they shall be removed from membership and the person who has been notified shall be registered as a new member. Members who are shareholders, directors or employees of the company may be paid by the companies they work for.
