Honorary President's Message

Dear Members,

Having operated for over 37 years, our Association has become a respected and reliable reference point for industry representation, thanks to the deep sectoral knowledge and experience we have accumulated since our inception. Our primary priority is to ensure consumer access to safe products and to foster an environment of effective dialogue among decision-makers and all stakeholders. Accordingly, we conduct our activities with an innovative, dynamic, and inclusive approach. In this context, KTSD successfully fulfills the responsibility of serving as the collective voice of the industry across legal, scientific, and societal platforms.

As KTSD, drawing strength from our deep-rooted history, we have steadfastly pursued our mission to be the powerful voice and trusted pioneer of the home and personal care industry in Turkey throughout every operational period. Even during times marked by significant global economic fluctuations and regulatory changes, we have continued our work without interruption—supported by you, our valued members—to enhance our industry's competitiveness and contribute to societal well-being.

It has always been our priority to ensure that our products—which are critical for hygiene, personal care, and the protection of public health—are represented accurately, balancedly, and robustly across legal, scientific, and societal arenas. Throughout this process, we have successfully fulfilled our role of bridging market realities with bureaucratic dynamics, guided by scientific data and ethical values.

Furthermore, our active representation within the TOBB Turkey Cosmetics and Cleaning Products Industry Council... Our memberships in Cosmetics Europe (The European Personal Care Association) and A.I.S.E. (The International Association for Soaps, Detergents and Maintenance Products), combined with the strong communication networks we have established with global organizations, bring an international vision to KTSD’s activities. I would particularly like to emphasize the importance of these strategic ties in elevating our sector to international standards.

KTSD is a visionary organization that not only addresses today’s challenges but also prepares for the world of tomorrow. Guided by this mindset, we have accelerated our efforts to raise public awareness—aiming to foster a regulatory ecosystem that supports sustainable sectoral growth and ensures consumer access to high-quality products. I am proud to state that, with its extensive membership network and global stakeholders, our Association now stands as a world-class center of knowledge and reference.

The economic scale and export success our sector has achieved during this period are the result of the powerful synergy created by our participatory and collaborative corporate culture. The projects—executed with academic rigor by our Executive Board members and the valued colleagues serving in our Working Groups—rank among our Association’s greatest sources of pride.

I would like to take this opportunity to share that I am transitioning from the role of Chairman of the Board—a position I have held with great honor and responsibility for many years—to the title of Honorary President, so that I may continue to contribute to our Association. I will continue to share the experience and expertise I have gained during this time to help guide KTSD’s future.

It gives me great pleasure to hand over the role of Chairman of the KTSD Board to Ms. Nilgün Dayıoğlugil. I wish him outstanding success in his new role, with the conviction that he will carry our Association into the future with the same determination.
