Dear Members,

We are pleased to have successfully held the 7th Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the Cosmetics and Cleaning Products Industrialists’ Association (KTSD) in Istanbul on March 25th, marked by high participation and strong representation.

I feel a deep sense of honor and responsibility in assuming the role of Chairman of the KTSD Board of Directors, taking over the valuable legacy built upon our Association’s deep-rooted history of over 37 years, its institutional expertise, and its strong representative standing within the sector. I have full confidence that, with the contributions of our new Board of Directors and you, our esteemed members, we will carry forward—with the same determination, transparency, and diligence—the solid foundations laid by our esteemed Chairman, Mr. Ahmet Pura. Mr. Pura has dedicated immense effort to our Association since its inception, played a pivotal role in bringing KTSD to its current stature through his vision and principles, and will continue to offer his wisdom and guidance as KTSD Honorary Chairman in the new term.

With its members operating in sectors directly linked to personal care, cleaning products, and public health, KTSD has played a significant role not only in generating economic value but also in creating social value. In this context, our Association has served as a strategic reference point for the development of our sectors, both on a national and international scale. Our primary priority for the upcoming period is to further advance all initiatives regarding sustainability, regulatory compliance, product safety, and social benefit, while upholding our strong institutional memory and our science- and ethics-based approach. Rapidly shifting global economic and geopolitical balances, the increasing complexity of international regulations—particularly those of the European Union—and rising expectations regarding implementation place significant, multifaceted responsibilities upon us all, especially given the direct impact the personal care and cleaning product sectors have on public health. In this context, our Executive Boards and Sub-Working Groups will continue their work with a strong sense of responsibility and dedication in critical areas such as the EU Green Deal, product safety, chemical legislation, and market surveillance.

Throughout this process, we aim to further strengthen our collaborations with international industry associations—such as Cosmetics Europe, A.I.S.E., and EDANA—to bolster our sector's global competitiveness and closely monitor regulatory developments. The representation and dialogue channels established on these international platforms are vital for shaping regulations related to personal care, cleaning products, and public health; ensuring our members are prepared for regulatory changes; making implementation processes more predictable; and effectively defining common industry positions.

As KTSD, we remain committed to contributing to a balanced and sustainable sector development that prioritizes public health—working in cooperation with public authorities, private sector representatives, academia, and all our stakeholders—while supporting consumer access to safe, high-quality products that are mindful of environmental and human health. It gives me great pleasure to share that our Executive Board—comprising distinguished representatives from various organizations and serving until March 2028—has adopted a culture of collective wisdom, inclusivity, and consultation as its fundamental operating principle:
