A Hand Hygiene Project: ‘Suya Sabuna Dokunun’
A public-awareness campaign run with the Ministry of Health, drawing attention to the part hygiene plays in preventing infectious disease.
To draw attention to the part hygiene plays in preventing infectious disease and the spread of infection, KTSD launched Suya Sabuna Dokunun (“Touch Water and Soap”) with the Ministry of Health in 2010.
The public-awareness campaign set out to explain why a regular hand-washing habit matters and to raise the general level of awareness about hygiene. As part of it the association delivered training on hand-washing, particularly to school-age children, and built lasting awareness of the subject.
